CCEP NZ partners with Aotearoa’s largest fun run once again

Southern Cross Round the Bays – Aotearoa’s largest fun run – was back in person on Sunday 5 March after being cancelled in 2021, and going virtual in 2022, because of the Covid-19 pandemic.

Thousands of runners, joggers, and walkers made their way along a picturesque 8.4km course along Auckland’s coastline, with many others from around the country participating in a virtual edition at their own pace.

CCEP New Zealand was once again a key Event Partner, this year sponsoring as Coca-Cola Europacific Partners New Zealand, with the intent of dialling up staff engagement and participation and reinforcing the importance of staff wellbeing through NZ’s Healthy@CCEP programme.

Through the sponsorship, consumer brands Powerade and Halo coffee were activated at the finish line, with Powerade Active Water distributed to participants and Halo moments created with the Halo coffee cart serving up lattes and ice-cold coffees! All profits from the cart were donated to charity.

Round the Bays is a key staff event under NZ’s Healthy@CCEP umbrella, with Auckland-based staff and their families coming together to participate each year. This year, the race had an additional virtual component, allowing staff from around the country to participate. Team CCEP was made up of over 300 staff and their families, and those at the in-person event were treated to a corporate tent experience at the end, including massages, fish’n’chips, refreshing beverages, face-painting and games for the kids, and a DJ to bring it all together!
