CCEP's Awards of Excellence -– Acknowledging small local mixed businesses for their exceptional contribution to their communities

Coca-Cola Europacific Partners (CCEP) is proud to celebrate local mixed businesses as part of its Awards of Excellence Program. This month, we are thrilled to recognise the exceptional dedication of four small businesses across Australia for their significant community contribution, including adoption of sustainable practices.

"This month’s Awards of Excellence winners have shown us what it means to be true community leaders,” shared Jeremy De Vries, Head of Local Trade, CCEP Australia.

“At CCEP, we actively champion small businesses and celebrate their successes. We are proud to bring attention to our local customers and small business owners, as it serves as a reminder that in small communities, every contribution, no matter how small, can make a big difference.”

  • Pigglys Supermarket (NT): Pigglys Supermarket has provided ongoing support to the local Alice Springs community through its sponsorship and support of The Variety Bash, Indigenous Boxing and Softball, as well as Imparja Media. As proud members of the Alice Springs community, Pigglys Supermarket do everything they can to serve and support the local community. Pigglys are also dedicated to introducing sustainable practices. That’s why their air conditioners and refrigerators are all solar powered. They have also converted their lighting to LED to significantly reduce their power usage.
  • Mt Helena Deli (WA): Family owned and run Mt Helena Deli is a cornerstone of the Perth Hills community. They have been selected for their sponsorship of local football and swimming clubs as well as being a huge support to the local fire brigade. They have contributed significantly through charity initiatives and local support, especially during crises such as bushfires, supplying free food and drinks to all volunteers involved in the crisis response.
  • Five Star Goomdiwindi (QLD): Five Star offer robust support to the Goondiwindi area, including sponsorships of the local rugby club, and local off-road car rally. Owner, Anser is well known around the area for his mobile food vans at remote work sites, bringing workers together over a delicious pie and can of coke.
  • Wawunna Road Milk Bar (VIC): Wawunna Road Milk Bar has proudly brought back the local milk bar tradition in Horsham. Owners, Steve and Lily have demonstrated their commitment to creating a sense of community and are always quick to share friendly exchanges with their happy and loyal customers.
