Coca-Cola Racing by Erebus has unveiled the new livery that drivers Will Brown and Brodie Kostecki will showcase at this weekend’s Darwin Indigenous round and the upcoming Townsville 500.

The new look will debut at this weekend’s Darwin Triple Crown as Supercars stages the Indigenous round for a second successive year.

Created by 22-year-old Gunditjmara and Tiwi Islander Kiewa Austin-Rioli, the background of the design pays tribute to her Tiwi Islander heritage while also representing the strength and unity of the team.

The intricate lines and patterns that adorn the rear and front guards of the Erebus Camaros symbolise the team’s racing journey, with each team member uniquely represented by white semi-circles.

“My design represented the journey of the team, their uniqueness and all of the people involved,” Austin-Rioli said.

“Usually, the semi-circles are drawn uniformly, but I made them different sizes to represent all the different people in the team. I have also drawn upon my Tiwi Islander heritage to show the strength in the team through the background design.”

Erebus Managing Director Shannen Kiely expressed her admiration for the new livery and is eager to see it on track across the next two rounds.

“The creativity that Kiewa has infused into this design is exceptional. We’re proud of how she’s represented our team’s spirit and values, and we look forward to showcasing the livery this weekend and then again in Townsville,” Kiely said.

Having collaborated with Coca-Cola Zero Sugar to create livery for last year’s Darwin event, Austin-Rioli is thrilled to reveal her brand-new design and to continue using this partnership as a platform to represent her Indigenous culture.

“It’s been very enjoyable to partner with Coca-Cola and Erebus for this Indigenous round, and as a young Aboriginal artist and small business owner I am so grateful for the opportunity. The round allows us to celebrate our people, our amazing culture, and showcase our talent and heritage through artwork.”

Felicity Needham, Coca-Cola Europacific Partners Vice President of Sales Away from Home - Australia, expressed her excitement about collaborating with Austin-Rioli once again.

“Once again, Kiewa has tapped into her artistic talent and connection to country to create a unique, showstopping livery design using Coca-Cola Zero Sugar’s iconic colours. We’re extremely pleased with the artwork and can’t wait to see it hit the circuit this weekend.”

Coca-Cola Racing by Erebus enters the Darwin Triple Crown leading the Team’s Championship, with Kostecki and Brown currently holding first and second place in the Driver’s Championship.

The updated livery will make its track debut tomorrow morning with practice commencing at 10:45am ACST.
